Just from the articles posted online since the buyout, the cutting and slashing is already in progress with middle mangers being told to offer their resignations because the wide sweeping management changes are on the way. The theme/amusement parks as well as the recycling plants that make and recycle the cans and bottles for production. All of this not 24hours after the announcement. The claim that they would keep the St. Louis headquarters and change the corporate name to Anheiser Busch InBev is purely window dressing. It's obvious to me InBev is going to stip this company down to the bone, with a big FUCK YOU to it's status as a a pillar of the Middle America, FUCK YOU to the generations of Americans who've work for Anheiser Busch, FUCK YOU to American icon.
I've read the rants both pro and con of the buyout. The con-rants are obvious, how was this allowed to happen? Why didn't the government stop this? American jobs will be lost.
The pro-rants; we live in a global economy, American companys buy overseas companys all the time, American companys use sweatshop labor overseas, foriegn companys have bought American companies before and pay the workers a living wage. FUCK THE PRO-RANTS! This is American and that's supposed to mean something. Budwiser was a pillar of America. It didn't just pop-up like some dot-com website. This company out last the depression, prohibition, world wars and the onslaught of imported competition. Through it all it has maintained it's position as a benificial member of the American community.
As I mentioned before, the axes are already swinging and American jobs are about to roll away. American heritage for sale... it's a damn shame.
