Thanks. Now give...

Tis the yearly remembrance to be thankful for the things and people in your life.

So here's my short list (which is also my long list):
 - I'm thankful that my father no longer lives in the middle of the desert and is back in the world.
 - Thankful for having a job for another season.
 - Thankful for the people that give two fucks about my life (not very many of those).

And that's it. I know that my life is better than others, and not as good as some. But I do what I can for the people in my life, when possible. So here's my plea to any that read this blog... GIVE! Give of your time, give financially if you can, give your love. If you don't have someone in your life that can use your charity give to a foundation that can make a difference in peoples lives; Goodwill, Salvation Army, your local homeless shelter, it doesn't matter which JUST GIVE! Put yourself in the situation of the homeless and less fortunate and ask yourself if you wouldn't appreciate the kindness of a helping hand. Put yourself in the position of a homeless person that just needs a couple of bucks for a place to sleep for the night. Put yourself in the position of living on a limited income but can't afford the feast that so many other Americans will be enjoying today.

If envisioning yourself in these situations doesn't move you to act than what exactly are you thankful for, where's the giving of yourself?

To any that stumble upon this blog, Thank You and Happy Thanksgiving to you and the people in your life.
