Career Reboot Again... AGAIN?!?
Into every life, a little rain must fall. At least that's how I heard the phrase.
After 12 years I've been released / let go / laid off / terminated / fired from my job. I knew it was coming at some point but the way it happened was chicken shit by a couple of asshats. It's taken a week for me to work up desire to post this. It's been a long time since I've been unemployed and I can use the break, but it's very odd not waking up and heading out the door with the purpose of going to work.
Unlike the last time, there won't be any wallowing in self pity or feeling unworthy of being around people. I'll be alright during the time I'm not working. Going to take some time to NOT work, tinker with some projects, "exercise", and just try to be like normal people who don't have to be awake an heading to work before 5:30am.
That said, I now have to figure out the phase in my career. And ya know what... I'll get there but not today.
