WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!

Production is over for the month and I didn't have to shoot someone in the head! Farewell to Severina.

On a slightly different note, my brother had his hernia surgery. He sounded tired but good. He told me that he put a down payment on a PSP (PlayStation Portable) for me as a birthday present - FREAKIN SWEET! I get to pick it up first thing in the morning. This is gonna be sweet!

My brother and I haven't always gotten along but we seem to be doing better. Not perfect but better...

Where's my America...

It's another dark day in America. The Neo-Cons are slowly and systematicly dismantling our country and the ideals that it was founded upon. How can they even call themselves Americans when they don't even care about other Americans who's incomes don't run in the hight 6-7 figures? When I was a child, the phrases "melting pot", "American Dream", "land of the free, home of the brave" ment something. They symbolized how we as Americans felt about our country and each other. That if you had the will you could become something greater than your beginings. Now, we live in a sound byte, attention deficit society: "red state, blue state", "neo-con", "progressives", our country has not unity. We've digressed to a have and have-not society. The have's get what they want on the back of the have-not's, now more than ever - and they aren't ashamed of saying so. It saddens me to think that a hard working American can't rise above when the there's someone else putting a shoe in his back to keep him down.

Springtime & Birthdays...

March 1st. The rain seems to have come back to Portland and my 35th birthday is just around the corner. Damn! Who'd have thought I'd make it to 35 years old? No children, never been in "real" trouble, fully employed. Not too shabby for a black man who grew up in the ghettos of Portland Oregon.

Though I'll downplay the event this year, it is something special. Maybe I'll be able to treat myself to a trip out of the city. Maybe Spokane to see a special lady or to the beach for some true relaxation? We'll see what happens.

Springtime, the time for growth & rebirth. If all goes well (in love, life & work) it will be a very good spring this year.
