$1,000,000 For Every One...

The other day in the news it was reported that America will hit the 300 million mark. It was also reported that Warren Buffet was giving 40 Billion Dollars to the Bill Gates Foundation. And though I admire what he's doing he has enough money to give every person in this country a one million dollars and still have plenty left over to help cure this, that and the other. Sure it devalues the "millionaire" status but it would also change a lot of peoples lives in the here and now, not 10-20 years down the road when the scientists claim (yet again) to be gaining on some disease. People who are living on the street could really have a jumpstart reclaiming their place in society. People who are under educated could finish high school or even go to college. The working poor could breath, take a vacation once in a while, save some money for their childrens future, they could own their own home.

We all know the truth though... as I learned in high school, the people with the money will control the money and that most people will squander the million dollars and will be crying and moaning about how the system is trying to keep them down. But at least for a short 1-3 year time span the country would be on equal footing and there wouldn't be any excuse for failure.

What do you think about that? Would it be worth it? Could people use a million dollars wisely and protect their own future? Some would and some would not. It would be a huge boost for the American people and a monumental boost for the people who would eventually get most of that money back in their hands.

All I can say is this... Give me my million and set me free!

Another Day of the Unemployed...

Well, here it is June and the full time, good paying job still eludes me. I've signed up with a temp agency - gotta give them a call later today. Still have more to work on for Martial Law magazine, as well as the Red Elvises poster. It sounds like more stuff to do than what it is.

On an up note, I'll started looking at boats again. It's a good mental distraction. And though I'm far from being in a position to buy it's nice to dream. Of all the "true" potential boats that I'd be able to buy (once I'm working full time again) is the MotorCat MC30. I looks like it would be a great little boat for me and maybe one other person. I found another blog from the NorthWest's exclusive seller that details his experiences with the MC30: http://motorcat30.blogspot.com/
Lots of good information. I'll be sure to absorb all I can from his page.

That's all for now.
Keep your head up!
