New Era, Same Bullshit...

Here it is, the end of 2012. We have technology that surpasses any from previous generations. MagLev trains, Airplanes that can hold a town, remote control spy drones, computers that can contact anyone across the globe and fit in our pocket. The list goes on and on but we still can't get along or respect one another. 

Just the other day, I was leaving work and a small group or cowboys were walking down the hall. One in a drunken stupor stopped, looks at me, yells HEY! I pause and see what's going on, only for his friends to pull him away as he proclaims that he just wants to kiss a nigger.

This morning, a co-worker whines that her phone still isn't working, that she can hear people but they can't hear her. In the process of her whining she sums up that I probably didn't replace her phone (do my job) in the first place instead of listening to what the problem might be and waiting for a fix.

I don't know… do I come across as someone that's looking for confrontation or looking to be disrespected? I don't know. I try to do my job and be respectful but I get offended when my abilities  or my work ethic are questioned or when I am face to face with ignorance & racism.

Maybe I'm overly sensitive these days but damn it! I can't believe that people say whatever the fuck they want and don't believe there should be consequenses for it.
